The Crest of the college brings out the aim and object with which the inception of this institution was dream of. It has been divided into five segments with its motto written at the bottom.The wheel on the top symbolises progress and prosperity while the light at the bottom of the wheel suggests dissemination of learning. The floating boat with sail on the sea at the left side of the book commemorates the glory of the maritime activities of Orissa, the ancient Kalinga and Balasore. The science aparatus at the right side of the opened book stands for diligent,dispassionate study and reserch for promotion of knowledhe in science. At the last motto,the vedic hymn,inscribed below,"Satyameba Jayate" sings out the prophecy that the"truth is eternal".
